    The Center for African & African American Studies presents YORUBA DAY from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Jester Center A232 on UT's campus. Come celebrate the culture, food, and music of Yoruba People throughout the African diaspora! All events are free & open to the public!

    The keynote address will be given by Dr. Maurice M. Martinez Professor, Department of Instructional Technology, Foundations, and Secondary Education, Watson School of Education University of North Carolina Wilmington.     The Austin International Music Extravaganza will take place at 7:00 p.m. at Huston-Tillotson University's King-Seabrook Chapel located at 900 Chicon Street. The extravaganza will feature a multi-cultural music celebration dedicated to Raul Salinas.     The 21st Annual SafePlace Walk is a great opportunity to join us (if you haven't done the Walk before) or to celebrate your continued commitment to a community free of rape, sexual abuse and domestic violence. The SafePlace Walk is a major fundraiser supporting our programs which provide safety, healing, prevention and social change in the Austin area.

    Lost in Translation is the third in a series of interactive community arts events for artists, poets, musicians, and performers to come together at the Asian American Cultural Center to add their talent and expertise to this year's Graduate-Level Graffiti event.

    Participating artists will use a variety of media and technology to explore how language can be used to bring together a diverse group of people in an environment where everyone, regardless of socio-economic background or education, can communicate through the process of art-making.
